OVERVIEW

The Saturday morning lectures by our panel of experts will present basic and advanced techniques of upper and lower extremities and trunk peripheral nerve blocks, ultrasound guidance, and continuous perineural infusions.

The main emphasis of this course is hands-on learning. Cadaver dissections prepared by our faculty will allow participants to study peripheral nerve anatomy firsthand. The ultrasound workshops will give participants the opportunity to identify surface anatomic landmarks and correlate them to cross-sectional imaging at the point of care as well as practice real-time needle guidance.

Based on positive feedback from last year, we will offer an optional Advanced Ultrasound Workshop for regional anesthesia to a limited number of participants who have already mastered basic skills in ultrasound-guided nerve blockade to learn advanced techniques from our expert faculty in a small group setting. The Advanced Workshop is limited to MD/DO's ONLY, with a maximum of 24 participants.

We hope that you will be able to join us. This course will offer you the opportunity to immerse yourself in a comprehensive learning environment dedicated specifically to the practice of regional anesthesia.
