The Annual Surgical Update is designed to offer inf ormation regarding the latest surgical advancements and technology to address gap s in knowledge that may exist for practicing surgeons in all surgical speci alties, residents in training, and allied health professionals. The desired outcome of this p rogram is increased knowledge, better competency in cutting edge treatment modalit ies, and enhanced treatment decision making. It is the expressed goal of the co urse to provide enough material that upon completion of the activity the participan t can make educated decisions to incorporate the latest surgical techniques and t echnologies as well as discern when these procedures are warranted to provide opti mum patient care.
