2014 State Healthcare IT Connect Summit

The 2014 meeting is the 5th Annual State Healthcare IT Connect Summit produced in partnership with NASCIO bringing together public and private sector thought leaders to share ideas and benchmark implementation strategies of State health IT systems as they move forward with diverse health reform agendA

As States move forward with the next phase of ACA (Affordable Care Act) Implementation, State CIOs and their HIT teams are coordinating major initiatives such as implementingand evolving Health Insurance Exchange (HIX) systems and updating or replacingMedicaid eligibility systems due to the massive increase in enrollment. In many Statesthese efforts are being implemented alongside major upgrades to Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS), by leveraging the MITA framework States are increasingly taking the enterprise view of sharing data across multiple HHS agencies.
