Women's Leadership Forum: Women in Medicine

Through lectures and interactive discussion,this activity will provide opportunities for participants to increase their effectiveness as team members and leaders. They will hear from experts on a variety of topics including solutions to further develop the career of women physicians. Attendees will be able to apply their own strategic decision-making skills, leadership competencies, and personal effectiveness in the management of teams, departments, and organizations as they work with others to build commitment to goals and implement changes. Through small group exercises and role play, participants will work on tools for communication, self promotion, feedback, and leadership.

We are pleased to announce that during the conference, we will be presenting the first Woman Physician Leadership Award to Marianne E. Felice, MD. This award was established to recognize outstanding leadership and contributions to patients and the medical profession by a woman physician. Dr. Felice is the former Physician-in-Chief of the UMass Memorial Children's Medical Center. Click here to read the press release announcing this very prestigious honor.
