UCSF Virtual Symposium on Radiation Safety in Computed Tomography

The UCSF Department of Radiology and University of California Office of the President are proud to host the first Virtual Symposium on Radiation Safety in Computed Tomography. The meeting presents information on how to lower the doses used in daily practice and why this is important from a patient safety perspective. The meeting is also targeted to those interested in and responsible for quality improvement activities in medical imaging and those tasked with meeting changing regulations in this area. Principal topics include: Standardizing, Optimizing and Understanding Dose; Current Changes in Policy and Government Oversight for CT Dose; Optimizing Low-Dose Pediatric CT; Communicating to Patients Benefits and Harms of CT and Strategies and Current Controversies for Dose Reduction.
