OVERVIEW
The use of bedside ultrasound is rapidly increasing in pediatric emergency medicine, but most pediatric emergency physicians have no formal training in bedside ultrasound. Over the past two decades, general emergency physicians have become increasingly proficient with bedside ultrasonography and have developed new uses for emergency ultrasound, mainly in adult patients. It is only recently; however, that the use of bedside ultrasound has gained momentum in pediatric emergency medicine.This course will give participants hands on training with the bedside ultrasonography.
