OVERVIEW

This course is designed for cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, internists, primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and pharmacists to increase the awareness of the advancements made in CHF and atrial fibrillation so that patients can be managed more effectively. The intended result of this activity is increased competence, knowledge, enhanced performance and improved patient outcomes. Upon completion of this course attendees should be able to:

Discuss the pathophysiology of HFpEF describe the treatment options for HFpEF Explain the differences in treatment strategy between HFpEF and HFrEF Outline the treatment options for managing ventricular tachycardia Explain the benefits of ventricular tachycardia ablation strategies describe the different pacing/defibrillators strategies for ventricular tachycardia
