OVERVIEW
The four-day course is designed for healthcare professionals who wish to enhance their ability to care for older adults. Learners will focus on the following categories:
(1) General Principles of Aging;
(2) Approaches to Caring for the Older Patient;
(3) Common Diseases;
(4) Geriatric Syndromes;
(5) Special Topics; and
(6) Geriatric Neurology/Psychiatry.
The board review sessions are especially helpful for physicians who are preparing for the examination or re-certification for the Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatric Medicine offered by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Family Practice.
