46. Jahrestagung der Gesellschaft für Neuropädiatrie / 46th Annual Meeting of the Society for Neuropaediatrics
Oct 29 - 31, 2020 | USD $440.00 | Dornbirn, Vorarlberg
On behalf of the Society for Neuropediatrics, we would like to inform you today that the 46th Annual Meeting of the Society for Neuropediatrics and 17th Training Academy as well as the associated general assembly unfortunately have to be postponed to 2021. Dear colleagues, We are very pleased to invite you to the 46th Annual Meeting of the Society for Neuropaediatrics from 29-31 October 2020 in the Austrian city of Dornbirn in the westernmost Austrian province of Vorarlberg. With 49,563 inhabitants, Dornbirn is the most populous municipality in Vorarlberg and the tenth largest city in Austria. The importance of the town developed late at the end of the 19th century with the flourishing of the textile industry, which quickly made Dornbirn the largest municipality between the Alpine Rhine and Arlberg. It is thus both an economic centre of Vorarlberg and a regional traffic junction. Dornbirn lies at an altitude of 437 metres in the Rhine Valley at the foot of the Bregenzerwald Mountains and thus on the western edge of the Eastern Alps. Dornbirn is easy to reach from Friedrichshafen, Innsbruck or St. Gallen Altenrhein airport. In addition to the central topic of "Neuropaediatrics and interfaces in everyday life", the following main topics invite discussion and intensive scientific exchange: epilepsy, neurometabolic disorders, neonatal neurology, social paediatrics and new therapy options. Other important topics of this year's conference are the current status of neuromuscular diseases and their new therapeutic approaches and the development of guidelines for the treatment of paediatric strokes. In addition, a large number of satellite symposia on important topics in neuropaediatrics will again take place, thanks to the support of industry. Of course, we would like to support the young neuropaediatricians with our own session. The scientific discussion during the congress will be stimulated by free lectures and posters, and a video session will again be filled with submitted contributions. Traditionally, the "Science Prize of the Society for Neuropaediatrics" and the "Honorary Prize of the GNP/Honorary Award" for special services to neuropaediatrics will be awarded during the conference. On Friday evening we would like to invite you to a social evening. The excellent program of the training academy is integrated into the scientific conference. As every year, it is conducted by selected experts in the field of children's neurology. We are very much looking forward to your coming to Dornbirn and hope that in addition to the very dense congress programme, you will also have the opportunity to enjoy the ambience of the beautiful Vorarlberg federal state, cultivate old friendships and establish new contacts! See you in Dornbirn warmly Great. PD. Dr. med. Edda Haberlandt ao. Professor Dr. Daniela Karall Conference President Conference Secretary

Radiotherapy is a team effort, delivered by an interdisciplinary team consisting of radiation oncologists, clinical oncologists, medical physicists, radiobiologists, radiation therapists (RTTs) and nurses. The Society wishes to engage them all in their congress, together and in discussion with other oncology specialists. In line with the ESTRO vision 2030 ‘Radiation Oncology. Optimal Health for all, together’, ESTRO 2020 will convey the theme ‘Translating research and partnership into optimal health’. Advances in technologies and methodologies of radiation oncology continue to evolve very rapidly. However, these innovations will only truly provide an impact when the new findings can be translated into clinical applications that will result in optimal benefit for each individual patient in daily practice. Radiation oncology professionals should not try to achieve such optimal outcome by themselves but in dialogue and partnership with all relevant stakeholders: other oncology specialists at national, European and international level; patient representatives and advocates; and, industry partners. ESTRO 39 aims at stimulating all stakeholders to enhance and shape radiotherapy for optimal health for each cancer patient.
