Course Description: Value Institute Learning Center Yellowbelt training provides students with a broad introduction to the tools used in process improvement work. Individuals with Yellowbelt training will have the tools they need to be active participants in department-level process improvement work and to lead their own small scale improvement projects. Yellowbelt in-person training takes place in a classroom setting. Yellowbelt students learn the history of process improvement work, project participation and project management, and the five DMAIC steps of process improvement: define, measure, analyze, improve, and control. Learning Objectives: • Lead a small-scale improvement. • Participate as an active member of a DMAIC improvement project team. • Utilize primary quality improvement tools in daily problem solving activity.
