Ethical Boundary Management in Clinical Practice is organized by Chesapeake Health Education Program, Inc. (CHEP) and will be held on Nov 20, 2019 at Perry Point VA Medical Center - VA Maryland Health Care System, Perry Point, Maryland, United States of America. Target Audience: Social Workers, Psychologists, Certified Counselors, Addiction Counselors, Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurses Accreditation: Continuing Education: • American Psychological Association (APA) Credits - 3.0 hours • Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners Credits - 3.0 hours • National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) Credits - 3.0 hours • Physicians - AMA PRA Category 1 (ACCME) Credits - 3.0 hours Course Description: Go beyond a superficial review of the basic ethical concepts you learned back in graduate school and when you were studying for your licensing exams. Take those somewhat steile academic concepts and apply them to everyday practice. Focusing primarily on boundary issues, we will discuss key elements of risk management that you can implement the day you return to your office. This workshop will be structured as an interactive exercise rather than using an "ask the ethicist" format, so be prepared to be actively engaged and ready to think and discuss some tough real life situations with your colleagues. Learning Objectives: • Describe models of ethical reasoning. • Identify fundamentals of ethical practice. • Apply these principles to case examples. Registration will close at the end of the day on November 17th; however, we do accept onsite registration as long as space allows. Additional details will be posted as soon as they are available.
