Tatek Abate

Tatek is a dedicated Midwife who also holds a Master of Philosophy in Reproductive Health from University of Gondar, and was previously EMwA’s Resource Mobilization Manager. Tatek has vast experience working as a Manager, Educator and Clinician within various organisations.

Prior to joining EMwA, Tatek was the Director of the Medical and Health Science Education Development Centre, where he gained 14 years of union experience. Tatek was a model lecturer at the University of Gondar and has also worked alongside a number of global agencies including Jhpiego, as their Senior Technical Advisor.

EMwA warmly welcomes our new Executive Director. His extensive experience, demonstrated commitment to the midwifery profession, a track record of successful leadership, and the ability to build strategic partnerships makes him a perfect fit to lead the Association as our Executive Director.
