Dr. Stephen Mathai is an associate professor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His areas of clinical expertise include pulmonary disease and critical care medicine.
Dr. Mathai earned his M.D. from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. He completed his residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and performed a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Mathai joined the Johns Hopkins faculty as an assistant professor of medicine in 2009. His research interests include scleroderma-associated pulmonary hypertension, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and pulmonary complications of connective tissue disease.
