Stephen Hammond

Dr Hammond comes to Aurora Diagnostics with 10 years of post-graduate training and experience in dermatopathology. He has served multiple appointments as a lecturer and instructor at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, Boston University Medical School and SUNY Downstate.

Most recently, Dr Hammond worked at Consolidated Pathology Consultants as a dermatopathologist and within the executive committee. He has previous industry experience with Cynosure, Inc., in Boston, Mass., as a Histopathology Consultant for Effects of Laser Treatment on Skin Tissue. He was also a Dermatopathology Fellow at Ackerman Academy of Dermatopathology in New York, N.Y.

Dr Hammond is certified by the American Board of Dermatopathology and the American Board of Pathology in both Anatomical and Clinical Pathology. He earned his medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland, and his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Manchester in the U.K.
