Shelby A. SullivanMD
Dr. Sullivan is the director of the Gastroenterology Metabolic and Bariatric Program at the University of Colorado. Dr. Sullivan received a degree in Nutritional Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and then pursued her medical degree, residency training, and fellowship training at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO.
While at Washington University, Dr. Sullivan was an investigator in seven FDA trials for weight loss devices including approval studies for the ReShape Integrated Dual Balloon System, the AspireAssist System, and the Obalon Balloon System. Dr. Sullivan has also had funding from the National Institutes of Health for her work studying obesity-related diseases. Dr. Sullivan is considered an international leader in endoscopic devices for weight loss. She is on the advisory board for the Association for Bariatric Endoscopy, and she lectures all over the world.
