Dr. Shannon M. Dunlay, MD, MS is a heart failure cardiologist and health services researcher with expertise in secondary data analysis and community-based patient engagement studies. Dunlay also has a joint research appointment in Health Care Policy and Research at Mayo Clinic. Her research focuses on identifying ways to optimize care for patients with advanced heart failure. Her research is funded by the National Institutes of Health and the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute. She is an active member of the American Heart Association where she serves on a number of committees. She currently chairs the Outcomes Population Grant Review Committee and is an associate editor at Circulation: Cardiovascular Quality and Outcomes.
