Richard L. Crownover MD, PhD

Dr. Crownover is the residency program director for the department of radiation oncology and he specializes in tumors of the breast, musculoskeletal system, liver and brain with a special emphasis on stereotactic body radiotherapy and radio surgery. He previously served as chief of the breast tumor service in the Cleveland Clinic department of radiation oncology. For his work with breast cancer, Dr. Crownover was named one of the “Best Doctors for Women” by Ladies Home Journal and one of “America’s Top Doctors” by Redbook. He joined the department of radiation oncology at the CTRC in 2007. He is passionate about the education of future physicians and improving the effectiveness of radiation treatments for breast cancer
