Rachel Ann Hitt MD, MPH

Rachel Ann Hitt is an Associate Clinical Professor of Breast Imaging and Director of Breast Imaging Fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is board-certified in Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology. She completed her Doctor of Medicine at the Harvard Medical School and Master of Public Health at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. Before joining UNC Radiology, Dr. Hitt served as a Radiologist in Breast Imaging at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates / Atrius Health (2013 – 2021). Prior to that appointment, she spent nine years as a Breast Imaging Staff Radiologist and Instructor (2004-2013) and as the Fellowship Director in Breast Imaging at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Harvard Medical School.
