Dr Peter Lewis MBBS Ph. D. FRACS(Orth) FAOrthA, has devoted his career in Orthopaedics to hip and knee joint replacement surgery. After training in Orthopaedic Surgery in Adelaide, he completed a fellowship in Adult Lower Limb Reconstructive Surgery in Canada and since then has built a busy practise in Arthroplasty Surgery based at the Wakefield Orthopaedic Clinic. He is Head of the Arthroplasty Service for the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network, and has previously held a similar position at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital. For the last 9 years he has been a Deputy Director of the Australian Orthopaedic Association National Joint Replacement Registry. Dr Lewis has authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications in the field of total joint arthroplasty. His clinical interests include all aspects of primary and revision hip and knee replacement surgery, but with a particular focus on revision knee replacement. He consults at the Calvary Adelaide Hospital, Glenelg Community Hospital and Angaston and District Hospital.
