Oriol Casanovas PhD

Oriol Casanovas is a Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at the AtG Therapeutics. Oriol is a renowned researcher in the field of angiogenesis and was the first to describe the resistance to anti-angiogenic therapy. He is developing new therapeutic strategies based on cancer biology mechanistic knowledge and translational research from clinical trials with the final aim to improve anti-cancer therapies. Moreover, he sits on several advisory boards of biopharmaceutical companies and has set up research collaborations with international pharmaceutical companies such as Novartis, Boehringer-Ingelheim, TevaPharma, IPSEN, and Merck FAQ. He completed his Doctor of Philosophy at Barcelona University.
