Omolayo FamuyideCo-Director | Vancouver, British Columbia
Dr. Omolayo Famuyide was born in Ibadan, Nigeria and moved to Winnipeg in 1991. Raised in Winnipeg, she completed her Bachelor of Sciences and Bachelor of Pharmacy degrees at the University of Manitoba. After graduating from Pharmacy, she moved to Thunder Bay, Ontario, where she practiced as a Clinical Pharmacist for one year. She subsequently returned to Winnipeg and the University of Manitoba to attend medical school, graduating in 2009. Following her medical school training, she moved to Vancouver to complete her Family Medicine Residency at The University of British Columbia.
After completing two years of training in Family Medicine, she moved to Toronto to complete a one year Women’s Health Fellowship at Women’s College Hospital, a world leading institution in women’s health. During her fellowship she also obtained some advanced training in menopause and is a Certified Menopause Practitioner through the North America Menopause Society. She is also passionate about Medical Education and obtained some advanced certification with a Clinical Teacher Certificate through the University of Toronto. In addition to Family Medicine, Dr. Famuyide has a special interest and expertise in women’s health, specifically menopause, contraception and sexual health. Outside of her clinical duties, she enjoys teaching medical students and residents as well. Dr. Omolayo Famuyide is currently accepting new patients.
