Nelson R. F. A. Silva DDS, MSc, PhD

Dr. Nelson Silva is a Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), Brazil. He holds MSc, PhD, and postdoctoral degrees from the University of Sao Paulo / New York University. Dr. Silva served as Assistant and Associate Professor of Prosthodontics / Biomaterials at the University of New York for 11 years and published several book chapters and high-impact manuscripts. His clinical and research skills involve translational research, biomaterials, disruptive technology in dentistry, laboratory and clinical aspects for the success of cosmetic restorations, partial and total removable prostheses, and implants using CAD / CAM.
