Nagesh Uppuluri MBA, PhD

Nagesh Uppuluri joined MicroVention in 2021 as Senior Vice President of Global Clinical and Medical Affairs. He has over 16 years of extensive experience in the areas of clinical strategy and execution, scientific communication, training and physician education, and external relations and partnerships.

Prior to MicroVention, Nagesh was Vice President of Clinical and Medical Affairs at Medtronic. Of particular note, while at Medtronic, Nagesh played a leading role in generating evidence for AIS (Acute Ischemic Stroke) that led to the revision of AHA/ASA guidelines for ischemic stroke. At MicroVention, Nagesh will develop a global clinical strategy consistent with MVI’s overall scientific, regulatory, and business goals and objectives. He will also lead the execution of global clinical research programs, and oversee training and education and external scientific affairs.

Nagesh has a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, a Post Masters Certification in Clinical Research Management from Duke University, and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
