Matthew Levy, MD, MPH, FAAP, is Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, where he is Medical Director of Community Pediatrics, Director of the Fellowships in Community Pediatrics and Children’s Advocacy, Director of the community pediatrics component of the Pediatric Residency Program, and Director of the third and fourth year medical student community electives, and Co-Director of the Social Justice and Health Advocacy curriculum.

He has served on several Georgetown University Hospital committees to improve the electronic medical records systems across the medical campus. He has served as a board member of the DC chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and in both 2006 and 2008 received its distinguished service awards for work with adolescents’ access to care and the development of a web resource guide for providers in DC.

Dr. Levy has developed and implemented multiple programs to improve access to health care for high-risk children, including the KIDS Mobile Medical Clinic (KMMC) at Georgetown University Hospital; the KMMC community-based mental health program; the HOYA clinic, a medical student–driven clinic in a homeless shelter; a vision program for children; and a community outreach and education program.
