Marzia Lazzerini MD, PhD

Dr. Marzia Lazzerini is the director of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Collaborating Centre for Maternal and Child Health, Trieste (WHO CC) since the year 2011. Her actual main areas of interest include quality of maternal and child health care and patients' rights, with a special focus on low and middle-income countries. She has direct field experience in several regions around the globe: Europe and Central Asia (Georgia, Kosovo Region, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Republic of Moldova, Montenegro, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Italy); Africa (Angola, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Uganda); South East Asia and Latin America (Sri Lanka, Mexico, Brazil).
