Dr. Mary Mihalyo is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the Duquesne University School of Pharmacy in Pittsburgh, PA. She teaches courses in Palliative Care, Pain Management and Women’s Health Care Issues. She is Board Certified as a Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) and as a Certified Geriatric Pharmacist (CGP). In April 2011, Dr. Mihalyo was selected for a visiting professorshipvia Duquesne University and Kobe Gaukin University, Kobe, Japan where she lectured in Palliative Care and Preferred Medication Use in End-of-Life Care.

In April 2012, Dr. Mihalyo was accepted as a participant in the Harvard Medical School Palliative Care Education Program (PCEP). During the one year program she will focus on pediatric palliative care and the development of a Center of Excellence in Pharmaceutical End-Of-Life Care. Dr. Mihalyo serves as the Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator for Trinity Health System, Steubenville, Ohio and she is the Founder and President of Palliative Therapeutics, LLC., CoPs, LLC. and Therapeutic Connections Charitable Pharmacy. Therapeutic Connections Charitable Pharmacy is an indigent care charitable pharmacy and medication repository program located in Steubenville, Ohio.

Dr. Mihalyo serves as a volunteer clinical pharmacist in The Jefferson County Fourth Street Clinic where she manages a metabolic and hypertension clinic in addition to management of pharmacy services.
