Mary Curry Narayan, MSN, RN, HHCNS-BC, CTN-A, COS-C, is a home health clinical nurse specialist, an advanced certified transcultural nurse, and a clinical education consultant. She is currently a Ph.D. student at George Mason University, where she is studying home health nurses’ assessment and care planning practices for culturally diverse patients. Mary has more than 35 years of home health nursing experience in multiple roles, especially as a clinician and educator.

Mary has authored many journal articles, book chapters, and manuals, and has presented nationally and internationally about home health and cross-cultural nursing. Mary has served on the American Nurses Association’s Task Force for the Scope and Standards of Home Health Nursing Practice (2007, 2014) and as Clinical Editor of the Visiting Nurse Associations of America’s Clinical Procedure Manual (2014, 2016). She has been an Editorial Board Member for Home Healthcare Now (formerly Home Healthcare Nurse) for almost 20 years. Mary was one of the founding members of the International Home Care Nurses Organization, where she currently serves as an Executive Board Member.
