Lanny Thorndike MBA

Lanny Thorndike is Managing Director at Congress Asset Management Company, where he is Portfolio Manager on large and small-cap portfolios and co-chairs the SMid Growth Investment Committee. Lanny is a member of the firm’s Management Committee.

Prior to Congress, Lanny was Managing Partner and CEO of Century Capital Management (manager of public and private equity portfolios), Chairman of the Century Funds family of mutual funds (including the Portfolio Manager for Century Small Cap Select Fund and Century Shares Trust.) He has more than 27 years of investment experience and has managed equity portfolios for such clients as Vanguard Group, several state pension funds, foundations, and endowments. Previously, he was an equity analyst at William Blair and Company, LLC and analyst/portfolio manager at CC&F Asset Management.

In his spare time, Lanny serves on the boards of several organizations including Partners Healthcare, Brigham Health, and the Cotting School, the nation’s first school for children with disabilities.
