Kate Brady is the National Recovery Adviser for Australian Red Cross Emergency Services, where she is responsible for coordinating the development of all recovery services and activities undertaken around the country. In this role, Kate has also worked on disaster recovery efforts in every state and territory in Australia, and with the New Zealand Red Cross to support the Canterbury earthquake recovery efforts. Kate is also currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Melbourne in disaster recovery and in 2010, Kate was awarded a Churchill Fellowship to look at long term recovery in the USA, UK and China.
