Dr. Karen Boretsky did her residency training in Pittsburgh followed by fellowships in pediatric anesthesia and pediatric critical care at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She practiced pediatric and adult anesthesia and pediatric critical care for several years. In 2010, after additional training in regional anesthesia at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, she went to the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh where she started up and directed an Acute Interventional Perioperative Pain Service serving over 1500 children annually in the second year of the program. In the fall of 2012. She moved to Boston and is currently the Director of the Regional Anesthesia Program at the Boston Children’s Hospital. She has authored several original papers on various topics of pediatric regional anesthesia techniques.
