Jill Grimes MD, FAAFP

Jill Grimes, MD is a board-certified family physician, author, and media personality. Dr. Grimes works at West Lake Family Practice in Austin, Texas, where she has practiced medicine since 1994. Dr. Grimes is a 1991 graduate of Baylor College of Medicine and is currently on faculty at UMASS Medical School.

Dr. Jill Grimes is passionate about prevention, and as a family physician and spokesperson for the American Academy of Family Physicians, her practical advice covers all ages, genders and body parts. Her award-winning book, Seductive Delusions: how everyday people catch STDs, is now part of the high school curriculum in Texas, helping teens and parents engage in important discussions about a challenging topic.

Dr. Grimes is an Associate Editor for the 5-Minute Clinical Consult Medical Textbook, and on faculty at UMASS Medical School. Dr. Grimes offers evidence-based medical advice through print, online, radio and television media; from popular magazines such as Glamour and Parenting to Doctor Radio and other call-in shows, to presenting to other physicians at national meetings.
