Jennifer L. Savon MS, BSN, RN, CHPN

Jennifer L Savon has had over (26) years as a professional nurse with over (25) years of home care experience that has included field and managerial responsibilities. The past (14) years have been with Penn Wissahickon Hospice as a Director of Patient Services and most recently Coordinator of Education and Performance Improvement. In this role, Jennifer is currently responsible for the coordination of programs for clinical education for Wissahickon Hospice. Jennifer has facilitated an interdisciplinary orientation program for all new employees to Penn Wissahickon Hospice. In the past year, Jennifer has participated in the revision of nursing orientation at Penn Medicine. She has been responsible for the implementation of a quality improvement plan for the agency that is coordinated with the Blueprint for Quality of Penn Medicine. She is currently responsible for the initiation of policy development and education that is consistent with Joint Commission, CMS, and Penn Medicine policies. She is a participatory member of the leadership team and has led committees to develop and revise patient and family education materials for home care and hospice services. Jennifer is an approved educator for the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association and an ELNEC trainer. She was a board member of the Examination Development Committee for the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association. Jennifer has participated as a facilitator and a team member in Penn Medicine Leadership forums for performance improvement initiatives at the agency level.
