Dr. Gruhlkey graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Texas A&M University, MD degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center – Houston, and residency in Family Medicine at Southwest Memorial Hospital in Houston, where he served as Chief Resident. After residency, he was in rural private practice in West Texas, and for the last six years has been in solo private practice in Central Texas. In 2000,
Dr Gruhlkey received the Mead Johnson Award for Graduate Medical Education and in 2003 received the AMA Foundation Leadership Award. He currently serves as the President of the Pan American Allergy Society. His clinical interests include full scope allergy testing and treatment, sports medicine, and electronic medical records/practice efficiency.
