Jamie N. Bakkum-gamez MD

Jamie N. Bakkum-Gamez, M.D. is a fellowship-trained Gynecologic Oncologist, specializing in the surgical care of women with gynecologic cancers and women at increased risk of gynecologic cancer. She is board certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology. Dr. Bakkum-Gamez is active in research and education. She is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, having authored over 140 peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, etc.

She currently co-leads the Women's Cancer Program of the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center, was the Mayo Clinic site PI for the Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG) from 2012-2014, Mayo Clinic site Co-PI of NRG Oncology from 2014-2017, and currently represents the Mayo Clinic on the National Comprehensive Cancer Network Ovarian Cancer Guidelines Committee. Her primary research focuses on the development of early detection tests for endometrial and ovarian cancers as well as novel therapeutics for advanced stage and recurrent endometrial cancer.
