James Szalados has over 25 years of clinical experience in the fields of surgery, anesthesiology, critical care (CCM), neurocritical care, and hospital medicine in academia and private practice. He is Board-Certified in Anesthesiology, Critical Care Medicine, and Neurocritical Care. He is a member of the AMA, SCCM, the ACCP, and the Neurocritical Care Society; he is a Fellow of both SCCM and ACCP. He engages in clinical research, authored textbooks and chapters, peer-reviewed publications, and lectures at regional, national, and international symposia. One of Dr. Szalados' CCM texts is translated into Chinese.
Dr. Szalados is admitted to the NY Bar and concentrates on matters of healthcare law. He is in private legal practice and collaborates with Kern Augustine, Conroy and Schoppman to represent physicians and practices in matters of: business law, contract law, regulatory compliance, licensure; peer review and credentialing; and managed care and reimbursement. He lectures at CLE events and is Fellow of the American College of Legal Medicine.
