Florence Mavis Brown MD

Florence Brown, MD, earned her medical degree from Columbia University and completed her residency at St. Luke's Hospital Center. She then received advanced training in endocrinology through fellowships at Joslin Diabetes Center and Brigham and Women's Hospital. She is now Director of the Joslin-Beth Israel Deaconess Diabetes and Pregnancy Program. Board certified in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism, Dr. Brown specializes in endocrinology and pregnancy.

Dr. Brown is a co-author of Joslin's upcoming Staying Healthy with Diabetes – Planning & Managing Your Pregnancy. This book is designed for women with preexisting diabetes who want to plan for a baby, who already are pregnant and are looking for information on pregnancy and diabetes management, or who have developed gestational diabetes.
