Fernando de la Cruz is a Professor of Genetics at the University of Cantabria, Spain. He is an expert in the molecular biology of plasmids and other mobile genetic elements. His current areas of interest are the mechanisms of plasmid design and how they apply to the dissemination of plasmids in the environment. He completed his Doctor of Philosophy and Bachelor's Degree at the University of the Basque Country. His Clinical Interests are Molecular biology, Bacterial Genetics, Microbiology, Bioinformatics, Microbiology, Synthetic Biology, Genetic Engineering, Genomics, Biotechnology, and Gene Cloning.
