Erik Thorsby MD

Dr. Erik Thorsby is Professor Emeritus at the Department of Immunology, University of Oslo. He was previously head of the Tissue Type Laboratory and the Department of Transplant Immunology, and later head of the Department of Immunology, Rikshospitalet, and the University of Oslo. He established the field of HLA and transplant immunology in Norway and was one of the initiators of Scandiatransplant in 1968.
