Dr. Eric Kelley is an Associate Professor of Physiology and Pharmacology at West Virginia University. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Free Radical and Radiation Biology at the University of Iowa, performed postdoctoral studies in the Center for Free Radical Biology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Director of the Free Radical and Reactive Species Facility at the University of Pittsburgh Vascular Medicine. His research is focused on manipulating reactive species (•NO vs. ROS) signaling as treatment strategy for obesity-related cardiovascular and metabolic dysfunction. Dr. Kelley has been an SFRBM member since 1995 where he has: attended the last 21 annual meetings, co-chaired the Young Investigator Award (YIA) Committee, served on the Internal Marketing Committee, served on Council represented SFRBM in FASEB-sponsored lobbying on Capitol Hill and is currently the Vice President for Membership.
