Dr. Eric Towe, MD, brings years of experience in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology to Avera Medical Group Pediatric Specialists Sioux Falls. Dr. Towe’s focus on heart conditions that can affect children ages newborn to 18 gives his team an expanded set of care options for all children. He is a board-certified pediatric specialist and also has certification in cardiac care for children. He has extensive experience evaluating and treating congenital heart defects and diseases in neonatal situations, as well as knowledge in addressing heart murmurs in children. His work also reaches older children, as he has presented information and worked with treating and preventing syncope in athletes, which is when a fall in blood pressure leads kids to pass out.

He and his family enjoy spending time actively outdoors, in all seasons, from camping and bicycling to hiking in wintertime.
