Enriqueta Felip MD, PhD

Dr. Enriqueta Felip has been the Head of the Lung Cancer Unit, Oncology Department at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital since 1995. Dr. Felip received her medical degree from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), where she also completed her studies for a PhD in Medical Oncology.

Dr. Felip is the Head of Thoracic Cancer Unit and responsible for all Lung Cancer trials at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital. Research lines of the Lung Cancer Unit include the optimisation of chemotherapy in early stage disease, evaluation of new drugs and the use of pharmacogenomic approaches. The main objectives of Dr. Felip’s group for the following years are: Implement the determination ALK translocation, study the efficacy of PI3K/mTOR inhibitors in patients with lung cancer resistant to EGFR-TKI’s, study the efficacy of PARP inhibitors in lung cancer, analyse the epidemiologic/clinical characteristics of women diagnosed with lung cancer.
