Dr. Kauffman is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center working for both the Hospital Medicine Division and the Emergency Medicine Department. Additionally, she works as an Assistant Program Director for the Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine (EM/IM) residency program at Wexner Medical Center. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine and completed her dual residency training at Louisiana State University-New Orleans. She also received her Masters in Public Health (MPH) from Ohio State and has academic interests in infectious disease, community heath, and interventions regarding the current opioid epidemic. She is currently working as PI on a statewide funded grant coordinating with Franklin County Public Health to implement Medication-Assisted Treatment in the Emergency Room. She is also involved with several other opioid related grants and committees to ensure seamless care for patients with Opioid Use Disorder.
