The Elisabeth Kübler-Ross Foundation is dedicated to furthering the legacy and work of pioneering legend, Dr. Elisabeth Kübler-Ross. This Swiss born doctor is considered one of the founders of the modern day hospice movement. She is the author of two dozen books that have sold in excess of 10,000,000 copies. TIME Magazine named her, "One of the 100 most important thinkers of the 20th century." She was "Woman of the Year" in 1977, and "Woman of the Decade" for sciences in the 70's. Her personal grit and determination forever changed how the world treats its dying. Her tireless efforts to assure that those who are dying be treated with compassion and dignity have now become the standard in end of life care in many Western countries. Dr. Ross taught the world that dying was actually about living and that our work here was to learn how to love unconditionally.

The foundation's goals are to increase access to quality hospice and palliative care globally while also encouraging compassionate care of the dying and grieving. We also continue to share her published work through new media avenues via collaborations with filmmakers, authors, and others who request partnership opportunities. We encourage you to visit our website: www.ekrfoundation.org to learn more about Elisabeth's visionary work, which still applies today. This page serves to honor Dr. Elisabeth Kubler-Ross and as a vehicle for outreach for the Foundation.
