Dr. Gonzalez-Hernandez has been providing care to patients with a wide range of upper extremity problems for over 15 years. He specializes in complex and difficult to manage upper extremity injuries but also treats a wide array of chronic conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome. He received his Medical Doctorate at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. Thereafter, he completed his Orthopaedic Residency program at Case Western Reserve University and participated in multiple orthopaedic and hand surgery fellowship programs.
Dr. Gonzalez-Hernandez is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and has a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Hand Surgery. He has presided in numerous organizations and societies and is an active member of the American Association of Hand Surgeons. He has participated, chaired, and organized several instructional courses both in the United States and abroad and frequently hosts students and physicians to help further upper extremity academia.
