Dong-woo Lee PhD

Dongwoo Lee received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Korea University and Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea, in 2005 and 2011, respectively. Since Oct. 2011, he has been with the Wireless Communication and Network Sciences Laboratory (WINS Lab) at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow. From Aug. 2011 to Sep. 2011, he was a Visiting Scholar at the Communications and Coding Theory Laboratory, Kyung Hee University, Yongin-si, Korea. His main research interests are wireless communication theory, channel coding theory, and vehicular communications. Specific current research topics include multiple-antenna communication systems, cooperative and relay communications, and vehicular localization.

Dr. Lee served as a reviewer for IEEE journals including IEEE Trans. on Commun., IEEE Trans. on Vehicular Technol., and IEEE Trans. on Wireless Commun. and various conferences including IEEE ICC, GLOBECOM, PIMRC, VTC, WCNC, etc. He received the Best Student Paper award from KoSBE in 2007 and the outstanding paper award at the IEEE student paper contest from the IEEE Seoul section in 2007. He was also a recipient of the Brain Korea 21 Scholarship from the Korean government from 2005 to 2011 and a recipient of the Samsung Electronics Scholarship from 2007 to 2011.
