Biography :

Dr. Donald V. Belsito is the Leonard C. Harber Professor of Dermatology, Columbia University Medical Center, New York, NY. Prior to this, he was an Associate Professor of Dermatology and Pathology at New York University (New York, NY) and Professor and Chair of the Division of Dermatology at the University of Kansas Medical Center (Kansas City, KS). His research interests include occupational dermatoses, contact and atopic dermatitis, and other immune-mediated dermatologic disorders.

Dr. Belsito graduated summa cum laude from Georgetown University (Washington, DC) with BS degrees in biology and chemistry. He received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College (New York, NY), where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.

After completing an internal medicine residency at Case Western Reserve University Hospital (Cleveland OH), he undertook his dermatology residency and fellowship in dermatologic immunology at New York University Medical Center (New York, NY). He is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Dermatology, and the American Board of Dermatology, Special Qualifying Examination in Dermatological Immunology.
