Prof. Don Kulasiri obtained his PhD in Engineering from Virginia Tech, the USA in 1990. He was appointed to a personal chair in 1999 at Lincoln University, New Zealand. He founded the Centre for Advanced Computational Solutions (C-FACS) at Lincoln University in 1999 and is the head of the centre. He has been a visiting professor at Integrated Systems Biology Centre, University of Oxford, UK (Jan - June 2008); visiting fellow in Mathematics department, Princeton University, USA (Jan-June, 2004; July 2006); visiting professor at Institute of Scientific Computing, Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany (since 2001); visiting scholar, Stanford University (Jan-June, 1998); and a visiting member of the Centre for Mathematical Biology, Oxford University since 2008. He is a Fellow of the Modelling and Simulation Society of Australia and New Zealand and was a panel member of the Mathematics, Information Science and Technology (MIST) panel for the PBRF 2012 quality evaluations, Govt of New Zealand.
