Devon I. Rubin, M.D., is a professor of Neurology and is a neuromuscular neurologist, electromyographer, and educator at Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, Florida. He received his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis, his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and his neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology training at Mayo Clinic Rochester from 1993-1998. Dr. Rubin specializes in clinical electromyography and neuromuscular diseases and has served as the Director of the EMG laboratory for over 15 years.
In addition to practicing electrodiagnostic medicine and neuromuscular neurology, he has a passion for education in clinical electromyography. He has developed numerous education products to teach interpretation of EMG. He has published over 80 articles and 30 book chapters related to various aspects of clinical electromyography and is editor of the 5th edition of the textbook, Clinical Neurophysiology. Dr. Rubin has been recognized for his contributions in education by receiving the Jun Kimura Outstanding Educator Award from AANEM, the Mayo Clinic Distinguished Education Award, the A.B Baker Teacher Recognition Award (AAN), the Mayo Clinic Innovation and Collaboration Award, the Teacher of the Year Award (Mayo Clinic), and the Program Director Recognition Award.
