Cristen L. Harris PhD, RDN, CSSD, CD, CEP, FAND

Dr. Cristen Harris joined the Core Faculty of the Nutritional Sciences Program (NSP), Department of Epidemiology in 2019. She has decades of experience as a registered dietitian nutritionist and clinical exercise physiologist and is certified as a sports dietitian. Cristen’s career path has wound through varied settings including clinical care, fitness and rehabilitation, community health, private practice, higher education, and research. Prior to joining the NSP faculty, she was an Associate Professor and the Director of the accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics at Bastyr University.

In 2014 Cristen was identified as a Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in recognition of her professional achievements, valuable service to the profession and the public, and pursuit of lifelong learning. She is passionate about whole-person health and wellness and strives to ignite this passion within her students.
