Chaouki Ghenai PhD

Chaouki Ghenai is an Associate Professor at the Sustainable and Renewable Energy Engineering (SREE) Department at the University of Sharjah (UoS), and the Coordinator of the Sustainable Energy Development Research Group at the Research Institute of Science and Engineering (RISE), University of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. Dr. Ghenai is the Chairman of the Research Funding Department at the Office of Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies at the UOS. Before joining the SREE Department at the UOS, He worked as an Assistant Professor at the Mechanical and Ocean Engineering Department at Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, Florida; Combustion Manager at the Applied Research Center (ARC), Miami, Florida, and as Post-doctoral positions at the University of California Los Angeles, California, and Cornell University, Ithaca, New York. Dr. Ghenai has published more than 100 research papers in scientific journals, conferences, book chapters, and books. Dr. Ghenai's research interests are renewable energy, energy efficiency, combustion, biofuels, alternative fuels, clean combustion technologies, waste to energy, sustainability, eco-design, energy-water nexus, energy planning, and climate change mitigation assessment, modeling, and simulation of micro gird power systems and air pollution.
